Paul Griebel Killed in a Crash on July 26, 2018 in Decatur County, Iowa

Paul Charles Griebel of Savage, Minnesota was killed in a crash on Thursday, July 26th 2018 at 11:30 am in Decatur County, Iowa. Griebel was 62 years old.

VEHICLE ONE (THE 2014 FRHT SEMI DRIVEN BY PAUL GRIEBEL) WAS NB ON I35 AT THE 1MM, VEHICLE TWO (THE 2015 INTL 7000 SERIES DRIVEN BY DAVID NICKELL) WAS ALSO NB ON I35 AT THE 1MM PULLING A DIRECTIONAL ARROW SIGN ON A TRAILER ADVISING DRIVERS TO MOVE OVER INTO THE LEFT LANE OF I35,THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE ONE DID NOT MOVE OVER AND STRUCK THE TRAILER AND VEHICLE TWO, VEHICLE TWO WAS SPUN AROUND 180 DEGREES AND WAS FACING SOUTH IN THE LEFT LANE OF THE NB LANES OF I35,VEHICLE ONE ENTERED THE EAST DITCH AFTER STRIKING VEHICLE TWO AND ROLLED

Injuries

The crash killed Griebel. Griebel was taken to Funeral Home by Decatur County EMS.

Paul Griebel, age 62, from Savage, Minnesota was driving a 2014 Frht Semi. It was towed by Bussanmas. David Nickell, age 44, from Allerton, Iowa was driving a 2015 Intl 7000 Series. It was towed by I 35 Towing.
